Tomorrow’s Sun

I killed the sun yesterday –
then the moon
before the night fell –
then the devils blanketted the night –
and chilled the blood, cold.
Darkness upon darkness –
But I’m keeping my eye
on the horizon
believing there is still tomorrow’s sun
to cast away this darkest of nights.
