Life Is An Unfinished Laughter

And when the body is removed
and the soul is stripped
bear of its shades,
happiness and
are just an emotion of the past;
And death is near
as near as the birth
that was only a fleeting moment ago;
And in between
there’s only the blink of an eye
of dreams
of laughter unfinished
of sadness breaking in
of joyous moments that
proved only a mirage
only to be woven by a streak
of dark threads.
